When I was a kid I didn’t understand the “picking teeth” use of toothpicks. They were cool for sticking into cubes of cheese. The were cool as swords for play doh figures. The mint flavored ones at restaurants were fun to suck on. But when I tried to mimic picking my teeth like I saw adults doing I would just stab my gums or tongue.

I usually clean my glasses once a day. Occasionally I’ll miss a few and be shocked when I take a close look at them. Apparently at some point I walked through a mashed potato fountain?

Tying water balloons was really stressful for me. Frequently I would get a finger caught in the knot and have to undo it before my fingertip turned blue. Or it would slip and shoot the balloon full of water right into my face getting me wetter than any of the balloons thrown by another kid.
